Hi there Matthew, I feel as if we are on a similar wavelength, and yet I did not find a specific argument in this piece that I could agree with. I did disagree with one of your main premises though. There is no hole left where a god would be. Your humorous phrase "vestigial Christianity" is the source of feeling of a phantom god.
