Listen, I don’t have time to give you the whole spiel about how cacao is intensely good for you. Google it. The overarching points are that it has the highest antioxidants of all the superfoods. It is an anti-inflammatory and can reduce risk of cancer. It lowers the risk of heart disease, lowers your blood pressure, and benefits your digestive system. It improves cognitive function and lowers stress and the risk of diabetes. It’s full of minerals and vitamins.

Cacao is awesome and great, but the real stuff tastes horrible. It is intensely bitter (this is the health benefits shining through). This is not cocoa powder, this is the real bitter bean.

Here is how I use it, and how it has benefited me.

Coffee was making me intensely anxious. I was becoming somewhat of a nervous wreck after imbibing any caffeine. And I was used to drinking 4 to 6 cups of super strong black French roast coffee every morning. I was not into sweet stuff at all. My goal in the morning was total caffeinated for improved productivity and mental fire. After 15 years or so of this regimen, this backfired.
